Xilinx University Program Workshops on 26-27 and 28-29 July 2005

The workshops will be held in Knoxville, Tennessee which is at the crossroads of I-40 and I-75, about 200 miles north of Atlanta.

The Knoxville airport (TYS) is located about 10 miles south of the campus of the University of Tennessee.

Ground transportation in a 12-passenger van is available between the airport and downtown hotels at the rate of $18 one-way per person. Taxi fare is about $25 one-way.

Lodging may be booked at the Downtown Hilton by calling 1-865-523-2300.

Ask for "in-house reservations" and use code "XUP" to obtain the special group rate of $64 plus tax per night.

The room rate, which is applicable for 1 - 4 persons, is valid during 7/23/Sat--7/31/Sun for those who want to come early or stay late.

However, you must make your reservation by 7/19/Tuesday to obtain the group rate.

Free van transportation will be provided between the hotel and campus each morning (8:00/8:15 a.m.) and afternoon (5:00/5:15 p.m.).

You may ride the downtown trolley for free.

The ORANGE route goes between the hotel and the university every ten minutes between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays.

Limited parking is available on campus at a daily rate in the Univ. Center Garage.

The ECE Dept. is located in Ferris Hall, a short walk from the parking garage or the trolley stop on Cumberland Avenue.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided on campus each day at no charge.
